Milena Govich

Milena Govich, a director and actor, has directed numerous episodes of TV including Chicago Med (2015), The Equalizer (2021), FBI: Most Wanted(2020), Chicago Fire (2012) as well as other. Milena was the Co-EP/Producing Director of Dick Wolf’s CBS show FBI (2018) and is currently in the process of completing two pilots. Milena was one of eight women who were selected by AFI's famous Directing Workshop for Women. She also took part in the Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors program. Unspeakable was her television series as well as a short film. Starring Jeff Kober and Laura Vandervoort the film was awarded the best episodic award at the Seattle International Film Festival as and the Best Pilot award at SoHo International Film Festival. The short film she made, Temporary (2017) is screened all over the country, winning Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival, Best Dark Comedy at Atlanta ShortsFest, and the Director's Choice Award at Sedona International Film Festival. Milena has acted in over 100 TV episodes as an actor. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) was her first appearance on CBS. Then she became the first and only female detective on Law & Order (1990). K-Ville (2007), The Defenders (2010) (CBS), Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family) and Lori Stevens in the MTV drama Finding Carter (2014) have all featured her or had her in. Milena has also appeared in various films, including Sordid Things (2009); A Novel Romance (2011) which starred alongside Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) The #Lucky Number (2015) with the lead with Method Man; and the features Closure (2018), Be the Light (2020), and The Cleaner (2021). Milena was born in Norman, Oklahoma was the valedictorian at her high school before she completed two major vocal performances and a premedical degree at the University of Central Oklahoma. She was also valedictorian of her high school. Then, she used her classical ballet training to appear in a show on Broadway in the show starring Rob Marshall and Sam Mendes 'Cabaret' in Studio 54.
